Contribuer à l’approvisionnement durable en gaz de l’Argentine
Troisième puissance économique d’Amérique Latine, peuplée de plus de 46 millions d’habitants(1), l’Argentine détient la seconde plus grande réserve de gaz de schiste au monde. En 2022, l’approvisionnement énergétique total(2) du pays était dominé par le gaz (49,4 %), qui était également la principale source de production d’électricité (48,8 %)(3). Avec une production journalière de 10 millions de m3 de gaz (soit presque 70 000 barils équivalent pétrole) à destination du marché intérieur argentin, Fénix est désormais en mesure de couvrir environ 8 % des besoins du pays en gaz naturel.
Le développement de Fénix se compose d’une nouvelle plateforme entièrement automatisée et raccordée aux installations existantes de la concession CMA-1. Le gaz produit sur Fénix est acheminé par un gazoduc sous-marin de 36,5 kilomètres jusqu’à la plateforme de Vega Pléyade, opérée par TotalEnergies. Il est ensuite acheminé à terre pour être traité par les installations de Río Cullen et de Cañadon Alfa, que nous opérons également.
